I love the energetics of inspiration. Inspiration is a powerful and dynamic flow of purposeful and productive energy that creates life magic. It’s like being lit up from the inside out. When one is inspired, there is hopefulness, joy, and enthusiasm.
In fact, the extraordinary is possible when you harness the energy of inspiration.
In his book, “Power vs. Force, The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior,” David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D. writes that “Great works of art, music, and architecture … can transport us temporarily to higher levels of consciousness and are universally recognized as inspirational and timeless.”
In other words, on an energetic level, healing and transformational breakthroughs can take place simply by viewing or being in the space of inspirational work.
For over 20 years, there has been a noteworthy emphasis on inspiration. Inspirational quotes, stories, books, posters, flashcards and art abound.
Oftentimes, our fast paced lives leave little breathing room for fully and deeply taking in life. Nature has a way of reminding us of what’s important. Perhaps that’s why the origin of the word inspire means to breathe upon or into. (What is a life without breathing?)
Yes, inspiration is in great works! And, as importantly, inspiration is in simple things, found in the everyday …
A first snowfall,
Crimson colored light dancing in the sky at sunset,
Music that moves you,
Visiting a local art gallery,
Admiring a child’s artwork,
Walking on powder soft sand,
Appreciating a turquoise colored ocean,
Playing with your grandchildren,
Frolicking with your pet, or
Warming your hands around a mug of hot chocolate are a few of the countless ways to be inspired.
Slowing down to experience these moments allows us to pause and re-align our health and well-being. We take in a boost of life force that can fill us with hopefulness, joy and enthusiasm.
Here’s an exercise that will do your body, mind and spirit tons of good. Slow down … appreciate the many wonderful things in your life and I’m sure you’ll catch more than a glimpse of inspiration.
In the short video I created for you, catch a glimpse of the things that inspire me. Enjoy the “Inspired By…” video and be sure to leave a comment below.
I’d love to hear … what inspires you?
Imagine …who you would be and what you could do if … you had the confidence to lead, leap, and inspire without limits?
